Thanks for the info. Malwarebytes has complained about the ThrottleStop.sys driver for a long time.

It is true. Being able to adjust the voltage and various other settings deep within the CPU is risky business.

There are plans to update the ThrottleStop.sys driver. The goal is to try and improve security without having to sacrifice any of ThrottleStop's useful features. I am not sure if this is going to be possible or not. It is definitely something that is being looked into.

If safe and secure are at the top of your priority list then uninstall ThrottleStop and enable Windows core isolation memory integrity. I am willing to sacrifice maximum security for improved usability of my laptop. Using ThrottleStop to lower the CPU voltage, power consumption and heat helps keep my lap safe and secure. That is what is important to me.
