Time to upgrade my GTX280 for BF3?

I am running BF3 with a 2500K at 4.5Ghz with a 580 on a P67 motherboard. I run at 1920x1200 with all settings on Ultra with 2X AA, and it runs butter smooth on single or multiplayer. No lags or studders.

That's what I am looking for! Is there a need to OC the CPU to 4.5Ghz? I am not opposed to it but I will see how it does stock... Stock... wtf am I saying... I will OC it..... lol

I don't think you will have to overclock it to get similar performance. At that resolution, the GPU is more important. I only have at 4.5Ghz because Flight Simulator X likes the extra power for all the addons that I use. My other games aren't really affected.

Debated on getting a 3gb card and returning this 1.5gb Lightning... However from the test I have seen I do not think the additional 1.5gb gains you much.

Smooth and pretty sexy with the 580. Rare lag spikes, but I think that is the game/servers.
When I was trying to pay attention to my FPS it was 78 and above. Will post some more info this weekend, gotta get my butt to work to pay for that card. Ha. JK I paid cash money.
Traveling for work sucks when u cannot play in the evenings. Oh well.
