Timeshift: very slow loading times

Timeshift takes at least 10 minutes to load.....is this 'normal' :confused:
 
You running it in Vista?

I'm using XP for it, and no, not long at all.
 
I tried it on vista,the first time it crashed when changing rez,the second time when turning off the music.When it did work,the load times were not ten mins and i'm on vista 32bit.Imho i think its a crud game anyway.
 
i cant even play it. my 7300gs won't handle it at lowest settings....

did you... buy... your copy from 'fairlight' ? i hear their 'patch' crashes on changing settings.


also, a 1.1 patch for the game is out, so updating to that may fix a lot of problems.

Yep, the 1.01 patch does fix a lot of problems :)
 
i "bought" it from a site that ship it as about 50 rar files :)

I cant remember if it was fairlight,last night i rearranged my partitions and deleted the wrong one,wiping out loads of stuff(about 50gb's):banghead::o
 
my pre-ordered copy is coming in the mail at 20KB/s, so how is the game?

i'm quite interested if the suit can be used for longer times than in the demo as i've taken quite a liking to reversing time :D
 
Personally,i thought it was crap,but each to his own.

I've been playing hellgate london.Its not great but its entertaining.The new painkiller is good but hard,if you liked the painkiller games.
 
and the FLT crack is known for causing all sorts of issues that need a reinstall, mostly related to changing settings/keybindings.

just patch to 1.1, and crack it if you dont want to risk your precious legit disk, since all of us on TPU have really bought the game. ;)

While I have Vista, it does not take that long to load for me. In fact, it loads so damn quick, I cant read any of the tips they give on the loading screens. :(

Then again, I got 4GB of RAM.

The reverse time is really short IMO and so is the stopping of time. However slowing down time last for longer than the other two.

I like the game. It has a SoF feel to it, but I dont mind it so long as the gameplay keeps my attention. Good game IMO.
 
Ive also been playing the 360 version today, and believe it or not, its better :eek:
 
what.. Timeshift is out already? I just pre-ordered mine at GameStop last week.. and been told it's gonna be release on December this year...
 
nm, just picked it up. it's a great game. Game loaded pretty fast. np at all.
 
One question: Do I need to install GameSpy Arcade in order to play Online mode? I went to the Muti-player --> Internet Connection but can't find no servers listed.
