Okay the servers that I was going to rent from and was renting from closed down. So I am looking for some more server companies.

Looks like L4D. If there is a need for CSS, then I will just run a dedicated server on a Computer. Now since there is a max of only 8 people to a server, then I might put a Server here in the US based out of Dallas,Tx and another based out in the UK. Now it is taking me a while to find someone to host servers that are really good.

Never heard of them but they look OK. Private L4D servers are $8/mo less than public :rockout:

I had a clan before that used Wolfservers. I think they were in TX also. Pretty stable from what I remember.

Wow, thanks, I will take WolfServers in consideration. Yeah, if I get a L4D server, then it will be private, and only accessed to TPU members. If a non TPU member is in there it will be banned, because they will only be for our members.

I'm in a TF2 community that has had so many problems with their gameservers.com servers, they've got cr*p customer service. We also experience a lot of lag on the servers, there's a lot of problems with their stability.

I saw some public serves for gameservers.com for L4D.. If I remember this weekend I'll connect to a few and see if they are stable and fast.

Reply:
Yep. They tried to fix the L4D problem with the demo to full version and the incorrect launch parameters that didn't need fixing and broke everybody's servers
I'll post any more responses as they appear.

happy to help for TPU, could probably shoot ben clarke a PM as well, have a feeling our game servers are Gameservers.com but they're only TF2.
My friend who used to have an L4D server from them, apparently his was quite good:
