Alrighty friends! We have our own Discord server that's open for the forum to use and includes General Nonsense/The Lounge fun!

The rules on TPU also apply on that Discord and there are a few other rules that also apply there due to it being an instant chat/voice chat server for people to use as a resource in entertainment and other things.

We're open to all people but rules on respecting each other applies 24/7/365

I don't. People just need to adjust their sensitivity manually so it doesn't pick up most of that noise.
1. Join a Voice Channel that isn't being used.
2. User Settings (gear icon on the lower left)
3. Voice tab
4. Uncheck "Automatically determine input sensitivity."
5. You should see the orange/green bar with bouncing on the right when you're not speaking. This is the background noise. Move the slider left and right so it only crosses over into the green when you're talking in a manner that you want to be heard by other people in the channel. Once you think you got it, click "Done" and see that your icon only lights up green in the voice channel when you want it to. Keep tweaking until you think you got it.

People tend to hover in Discord. There will be a lot more people present but how many participate is entirely up to them.

when i try to imagine what TPU members would sound like, for some reason i keep imagining a lot of background noise from parrots, and monkey's, or a chicken maybe....thats what you'd hear from my mic atleast. :laugh:

i hosted the TPU TS server on my old Laptop for a while(or A tpu ts atleast) .....i cant remember when exactly, and i never used it personally...it just ran on my spare Dell latitude D640...a true leviathan of a Laptop a scorchingly powerful 512MB's of RAM !!!!
