If you're getting 70-74 on the CELL they're normal temps and I wouldn't worry, and given your L04 is a 65/65 unit (65nm on both RSX and CELL), it should run far cooler than my H04 which is 90/65. (90nm RSX, 65nm CELL.)
It's about 85C idling on the multiMAN menu... :D

OUCH! Do you have webMAN installed? If so, try setting the max temperature in webMAN to 71*C.

The fat PS3 is currently unplugged as I changed the placement of the decoration in my apartment, I'll check which softmod it has in few days after I've drank all these beers and survived the hangover.

Haven't used it in a while so I don't remember exactly what softmod it has.

Got something hella cool from a friend :)

Nice, I think I have the Aqua Blue variant (complete with matching blue memory card as well as blue controller, model SCPH-50004, version 9) with a Modbo 4.0 chip, and the standard black version (v7 39004) with a genuine DMS4 Pro. (which kicks ass over the older Modbo real hard - the only Modbo I know that comes close to the DMS4 I have is the 5.0D, as it implemented USB booting. Neat.)

I'll ofc keep my original black PS2 as it works. I just hope that my previous softmod works that I dont redo all that shit :D

Have any of you ever heard of this motherboard? AOpen AX4B-533 Tube socket 478 board with an onboard VACUUM TUBE! probably the wildest motherboard I've ever seen.

Great haul today.

- Advantech PCM-4823 SBC - AMD Am5x86-P75 @ 133MHz :D
- ASUS P5K/E6750, MSI P45 Neo3/E8500, P4Dual-915GL + Celeron D 315
- Aureal Vortex 2 PCI
- HP s7000 SFF PC w/ Intel VIIV tech (whatever that is?)

Duuuuuude! You hit a jackpot, damn!

I hope that Asrock board works as that looks hella cool :)
It does, I just gotta recap it and change that puny Celeron D :D

That Celly needs to have overclocked the hell out of it ;)

I'd do that for my Celerons BUT my Asus P5Q Pro doesn't support 533FSB CPUs, fuck.. they don't POST on that mobo..

It's a Prescott, and a castrated one at that lol, I'd be far better off with a Northwood

This is the game that I like to play on my retro pc.

You like older sports games in overall? NHL98 is my shit without a doubt :D
Yes I do. Fifa, Uefa manager 2000, Pro evolution soccer... Just to name a few.

Winning Eleven was a thing back then, and its successor Pro Evolution Soccer. People used to play tournaments overnight and forget about RL. It was like a disease.

@MaxiPro800 did you delid that fat PS3? Mine needs a CPU delid, but haven't thought what would be the safest method for doing that. Its temps are skyrocketing even after deep cleaning and repasting.
Can you tell me if any pins are bent on this? The thing that to lock the cpu comes down ,When putting it back on it hits some of the pins it back on i hit some pins. There is nothing showing on the analiser .Is the board toast now?

Looks ok for my eyes.

My treasure for today:

The system:
  • CET XT 8086 PC
  • 720KB 3.5" Floppy
  • 5,25" Floppy drive
  • CGA or Hercules Monochrome videoadapter
  • Keyboard XT/AT

It has the connector for a HDD. I think an IDE model.

welcome to my club  i have the exact same console (i won it in a crossbow shooting contest to my hometown local fair, ages ago :D ) although i don't have the gamepads anymore, i need to find some aftermarket (luckily i would need to find them in Xbox layout, since DS type hurt my thumbs  )

i was never a PS fan ... but i was happy since i did buy Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus, Valkyria Profile Sylmeria, Xenosaga III and Odins Sphere for PS2 to play them with PCSX2, tho at the time my main rig was barely capable of runing any of them decently

Dug out a beaten up A7N8X with missing caps (both SMD and standard). Went to town with the soldering iron and this is where I ended up :)

For a brief moment you actually had me there ... I figured ME Second Edition was actually a "thing", something I missed. Like for example, I had no idea that 98 SE existed, up until someone brought it up years ago.

Win 2000 ... or XP maybe?
