Trading 295 for 5770s?

and many more on the way thats more then 1 game still worth it probably not but id rather have a 5850 or 5870 over gtx295 anyway

Actually as of now there are only 6 unpatched games set for release in 2010 (that actually have a release month set). Dirt 2 is patched and does not even have all the DX11 improvements included, Battle forge was released in march 2009 and patched in Sep 2009 without full DX11 support, AVP yes in the next couple of months..... as I said "out now" that dont count then.........and Stalker COP due release next month, again as I said "out now" that dont count

well CoP you can order now and has full english which means u dont have to wait to buy it and play it so its here and it has DX11 but i get ur point still id rather have a 5870 that comes close to 4870x2 / gtx 295 with less power needed and after watching my 4870x2 die im not a fan of dual gpu cards anyway so if i had a 295 id dump it for a high end single gpu any day

besides even if its patched in Battleforge runs 30% faster with DX11 at highest settings then it does in DX10 ill take that boost anyday just wish more games got a patch like say crysis imagine a 30% jump that would be pretty damn spiffy

We all have our own thoughts on what hardware we want, dont want and would like, my point was that probably in 80 of the 100 games he might play, he will be playing them just as well, if not better (if better is the right word) on his GTX295 is all.

another comparable debate is Core2 vs 1156 vs 1336 vs AM2+ vs AM3 we know all those platforms will provide plenty of power same with a gtx 295 285 or 5850 or 5870 etc etc it all comes down to preference what its worth to you and what things mean the most to you to make the choice worth while

if he wants DX11 he wants DX11 if that didnt matter at all to him id say stick with the gtx295

LOL well with the games i play now this card does all that i need. Crysis plays great, dirt2 is fun, MW2. Hell going this way i saved money lol. I was trying to get Marcusfoxs 5970 for 680. Going this way i didnt spend more money lol.But honestly this card performs great for the games i play so im ok with it. LAter ill crossfire it.
