Tried installing 576.02 - installer window disappears

I'm on W10 22H2, got latest NVCleanstall 1.18.0.0.
It's the first time I have such an issue. I even tried compiling the installer instead of installing directly. NV installer checks compatibility and disappears.

Any ideas on what should I do?

Mine says "required files missing" once nvidia's installer starts.
NVCleanstall 1.18.0.
Apparently NVApp is the culprit, putting it in driver directory is all that's needed.

I think you checked unattended install, because if you dont, the installer shows you a message like "files missing, cant continue" and doesnt let you advance.. must be an error with NVCleaninstall.. will have to wait.

I'm seeing the installer window on Windows 11 24H2, but it tells me it's missing required files. This is on the minimum preset and no additional options selected.

Can confirm this. Here also also failing.

It installed for me using "Use driver files on disk" after downloading the driver from Nvidia's site. Got a couple error windows at the end but it doesn't seem to matter.

Can confirm this works. Don't download driver from NVClean, download from Nvidia directly and it will work like normal

So... you installed the official driver? Or am I misunderstanding something?
Nvm, I found the answer in another thread.

Is NVApp a folder or a file? Where can I find it? And which is the driver directory? In Program Files?

- Try installing some drivers from one year ago and see if it working
- If the problem persists just downgrade the Operating System i.e. W7/8.1/W10

FWIW the NVENC patch needs an update to work with this version (often the previous patch version works fine), but fortunately it looks like there's a pull request in the main repo waiting to get merged.

Link to issue in NVENC patch repo (+ PR linked near bottom): https://github.com/keylase/nvidia-patch/issues/925

In the meantime, just skip the NVENC patch, or wait for it to be merged before upgrading the driver.

I summarized current workaround for Nvidia Graphics Driver 576.02
1. Download the latest NVidia Driver here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-geforce-graphics-drivers/
2. "Use driver files on disk" and select the NVidia Driver you just donwloaded.
3. Uncheck "Apply NVENC Video Encoding Session Limit Patch" and proceed as usual.

Finished installation without error. Enjoy your day!

NVApp is a folder you can find by downloading newest drivers directly from NVidia's website and extracting with e.g. WinRar.

I tried the 'workaround' however I found it's not actually a workaround. Yes it'll install the driver for you, but it won't follow your preferences at all. I did a clean install, selected MSI mode, disabled HDCP, disabled Type-C port driver, but alas:

So just an FYI the workaround is akin to just installing the nvidia driver without NVCleanstall :/

A bit off-topic:

Is the "Apply NVENC Video Encoding Session Limit Patch" option in the installer recommended to enable? I know it currently is broken, but I haven't been using it anyway. Should I enable it when it becomes functional again?

Unless you need it for something, I would just leave it disabled. Same thing with most of the tweaks in the list.

As far as my understanding goes, it's basically a limit that you'll only hit if you do a lot of parallel video encoding (and some ML image-gen stuff), and the patch basically unlocks a software-enforced lock that nvidia puts in place to get consumers to buy their higher-end GPUs for professional video-editing/video-processing. It's kinda similar to how some DSLR cameras have an arbitrary video-recording limit of 30 minutes to incentivize buying higher-end video cameras, which can also be bypassed/disabled using custom firmware on the camera.
