Hello!

The .bin doesn't unlock my shaders (i think i have a unlockable? card)

I have configure TRIXX with the values of a 6970 stock card.

I will make test before, but i think battlefield is not going to work at 60 fps maxed out.

I think you should forget about unlocking, as you don't seem to have all of the required knowledge to safely do this.

Just stick to the overclock.

Oh and also, the shaders wouldn't make any difference in getting to 60fps maxed out. I have 6970's in crossfire, and an unlocked 6950. One of the 6970's can't max out BF3 at 1920x1080p @ 60fps. I'm sorry, but that's just not likely. Overclock it as far as it can go, and if it's not enough - add another 6950.

First of all, I thought your card wouldn't unlock properly? Did you manage to get the shaders unlocked and tested?

Secondly, how do you stress test your card to make sure it's stable under sustained load?

Make absolutely sure it's stable. These cards use very high end, yet sensitive components. I have killed a couple by pushing them way past their limits. That's a good sign if your core is stable at 6970 clocks with 6950 stock voltage.

Ah I have been all fixed and run 6970 settings at 6950 voltages- Shaders are unlocked, card is OCed. I stress tested with 3d mark and by playing battlefield 3 for hours at max settings, I've never had an issue and temps have always been fine.

I'm thinking of adding another 6950 like you said. I also though it could move Battlefield at 60 fps :S

Thanks for all guys.

I run BF3 at ultra settings at 1920x1200 and get about 35 fps. Not 60, but not low enough to ever notice it.

Wow guys thanks for all the suggestions. I've been having my life sucked away by SWTOR these last few days. I'll try and see if 3d mark 11 shows any difference. I just left the switch in the unlocked position for now. I'll try and get the tests done tomorrow.
