Troubleshooting dead 295x2

Bought a dead 295x2, seller said it didnt work after win10 annual update.
I tried using the 1-8 pin trick to see if i can flash the card, i also tried using the dual bios switch but the card is never recognized. Tried it in 3 different pc's.
Can anyone look at the pcb and offer some input? the chips i used the 1-8 trick on was the pm25lv010. are there some other ways to determine cause of failure?

yeah, it was a risk, if they had told the truth, im pretty sure i couldve gotten it to work by now. I hope i was cherry flavored sucker... but in dual chip graphics card is there an additional chip i need to do the 1-8 pin trick on? I cant find conclusive evidence for specifically this card.

Does the Motherboards BIOS show the slot as populated when the card is in, does GPU-z read anything at all from it?
Is your PSU adequate?

This bios doesnt show the card slot filled, gpuz doesnt find it, psu is fine, on 2 pc's have 1000 watt and 850 watt, last pc had 650 watt.

Filled out my specs, the 295x2 is the one from amd/ati themselves, not a rebrand.

If it's not being detected at all, then you may have to strip the card down and have a closer look over the PCB with a magnifying glass to look for blown or burnt components.

Sir, that's Gigabyte's card and has nothing to do with MSI.

Is there any scratches or anything other physical damage on the 295X2?

I have stripped the card, no burnt or blown components. i basically tore a leg off one of the bios chips myself on accident when trying the 1-8 pin mod, but its a dual bios card. even if one of those chips is blown, the other bios chips are fine.
I tried doing anything possible before taking it apart and doing hardware mods, but none of the 3 pcs recognized it, so i stripped it, tried to short the 1 and 8 pin on the pm25lv010 chips, card still was not detected.

Yes, I have a dual card config, 1 Nvidia gtx 1080 and an AMD 295x2. I did try only having the amd card in the pc, made no difference. But yes, Im running 2 cards.

there is one other 8 pin chip, but its 25AA128 . Its an EEPROM chip, I didnt want to short this one as in any of the 1-8 pin mods for bios flashing I didnt hear anyone say to do additional ones. Do i need to do the mod there too?

You have a Gigabyte GTX1080 as you linked, not a MSI GTX1080...

hmm. true. c++ homework fried my brain. I tried to short pin 3 and 8 and still nothing. ( i only tried one chip, ill try more of em.)
