Hello everyone,

Straightforward question here,

I am currently running an HP All in One PC, that is UEFI. The OS is Windows 10 Home 64 bit. I want to take the HDD and put it into a Dell XPS 410, but I am worried that since the XPS is old, the legacy BIOS will not allow Windows 10 to boot. I cannot find any information anywhere about this, please help!

(I apologise if I sound inexperienced, I am much better with hardware than software related things)

You need to reinstall windows on that HDD once you swapped it, since other drivers need to be installed with it.

Edit:
"No, Windows 10 will continue to support legacy BIOS. For new devices that are launched a year after the release of Windows 10, they must have UEFI and Secure Boot enabled at the factory. This does not affect existing systems."

Hello, Thank you to everyone who replied to this, I discovered that I cannot use said drive in the XPS due to it being in GPT format rather than MBR, So I went with a new HDD and a fresh install of Win10
