Unknown Memory Sapphire RX570

so this was all from an incorrect BIOS? I have a FirePro S9150 "R9 290x/390" that has been working flawlessly with a modded BIOS to limit power that all of a sudden started doing the same as OPs cards, "unknown memory" I have tried flashing back to a couple original BIOSs that I had but with the same results.

In order to get help we need from you 3 pictures :
1 - labels (stickers) from the card
2 - open the card and make a photo of the memory chips
3 - make a GPU-z picture (if you can boot in windows of course)

Start a new thread, you are dealing with a 290, not a 580

at this point it definitely looks like this card is FUBAR'd.. tried two different computers, and both Win 10 and Win 8.1, system freezes as soon as I attempt to load the driver. If you think there are other steps that could unbrick this card I'll start a new thread for it.. but past experience usually suggests this is the point at which its a doorstop.
update: took it apart and discovered a fried mem vrm. damn...

So start the new thread we will continue there. Do not install drivers right now

You have a 290 not a 570, do not hijack threads

More than this you should first start a new thread in order to let us try to help you revive your card.
We would like to try to help you write a new BIOS file in it 1st before sending it to repair.

I am flattered, but truth be told I'm a bit of a hack when it comes to reflowing video cards and would not trust myself with anything worth more than $10.

Pull card heatsink off, get ram chip picture of white stenciling, pic of white stickers on the card.

Make one from labels from the card
Make one in GPU-z from windows (if you can of course)

I guess my card is no good then if I look at the 2 4gb card bios under xfx neither one of those worked for me unless it's an unconfirmed bios I checked a bunch of those but none of the one I tried made the size of the memory show up
