Hi all,

I just upgraded my PC with a new LGA 1700 CPU. I have a Gigabyte Gaming X DDR4 motherboard and 16 GB Aorus 3733 Mhz RAM.
By default, RAMfrequency is set to 2600 Mhz as I can see with the Gigabyte Easy Tune software. I know that I have to manually unlock the RAM speed, but I really don't know how to do that. I see that Easy Tune has a DDR4 overclock panel where I can chosse the RAM frequency and other options. I would like to unlock the RAM frequency "safely" without risk of damage it.
Anyone can help me please?

Thanks!

You have to access the bios to do that. I'm not on 1700 platform atm, but traditionally that's the best way to do it.

Go to the bios, find the XMP somewhere in the memory section and turn it on

That probably still depends on the max (default) memory speed your CPU supports. If it's a locked SKU you'd likely be limited to 3200 MHz.
