Unveiling Windows 7 to the World: Keynote, Sessions and Pre-Beta Bits

Hopefully Microsoft won't pull a Vista and release tons of bug along with the release.

A Vista??? i'm guessing you never had the opportunity of using XP when it came out, or 98.. or Me... blah blah blah, every windows release comes with an unreasonable amount of bugs, Vista just had an extreme amount. Lastly, i have higher than i should hopes for 7, i really want it to be a nicer OS from the get go, a windows release without typical Microsoft fumbles would be awesome..

It does indeed look like vista, sneaky name change anyone?

Lol xp fanbois will be using Vista afterall lol

Lol xp fanbois will be using Vista afterall lol
Good luck with that. If the performance hits are as bad in Windows 7 then I think a lot of the systems I play with will stay on XP. But if they can make it efficient, THATS a different story.

But xp will have zero support by then i suppose weel have another petition to have it extended :p

A lot of people still uses XP. Heck, a lot of them still uses win98/ME. And with the system reqs Vista has and Win7 will have .. it's just not an option to get it, and a lot of people don't really want to upgrade their computers.

I might get IE7 some day though.. At least I'll try the RC's out (if there will be any) if I have the system for it.

they look like refined vista to me! personally am still using xp. i hope that the W7 will be a mix of vista and xp (the good parts i mean). good work TPU
