upgrade cpu failed

Your cpu power connector is plugged in right? 
Silly question probably, but you never know
Did the cpu go firmly into the socket as normal? did you check the cpu for physical damage or bent pins etc? Maybe try clearing the CMOS since you did an upgrade? Idk, that might be worth a shot it can't hurt to try. make sure everything on the machine is off and un-plug the power cable from the psu then remove your cmos battery from the board and let it chill for 1-5 minutes after that put the battery back in and reconnect the power.
I checked your motherboard support just in case and that cpu should indeed work

According to the motherboard's CPU support list that CPU is only supported on the newest BIOS, p6.10. Put your old CPU back, update your BIOS, put the new one in.

Much easier and quicker than trying to get a hold of one of AMD's kits: go to a computer store near you and ask them to do it for you, or order a cheap supported CPU from somewhere with a good return policy, use it to update your BIOS, and return it. IMO the former option is by far the preferable one, even if it's the slightly more expensive one.
