US Might Reimpose GPU Import Tariffs in the New Year

Since I have family both sides of the border and recent events in your country (and mine, Canada), I wouldn't be quick to make that assumption buddy.

You be you and live in your bubble. I won't.

Good day.
I have family in White Horse and allI know is they can pound beer like nobody I've seen before.

Let me know if the beer consumption doesnt conflict with the alzheimer's medication.

I forgot to ask but.. People actually live there?

I only heard rumors and know nobody who has been there.

they are in order.

It is just you guys cannot seem to accept your own responsibilities and issues of your own creation. A lot of projection is done and its rather funny.

Pointing out your guys hypocrisy is apparently my mental capacity is in question. Which tells me that many here, including you, do not seem to really understand what is actually happening. Kind of sad honestly. Got nothing against you guys but some of you need to understand humility and just accept the messes you created and stop pointing fingers at others. First step to recovery is acknowledging you got a problem.

As the saying goes - Don't throw stones from a glass house.
I talk shit about America all day everyday buddy. Not even sure what you’re talking about, if it were my choice I’d turn the army into a civil service, like Frederic Jameson proposed in his famous essay on dual power. But what do I know I’m just some American fool on the Internet.

It’s okay I don’t think sepheronx’s marbles are in order, seems to be the only Canadian to embody America’s superiority complex just to condescend Americans
It's ironic because I have been explicity anti-tariff and basically what most members would call "anti-american" all throughout this thread, and then he comes and knocks it out of the park by telling me I'm trapped in a "western bubble."

Like no man, we did shit, I know. South/Central America is real fucked up thanks to things that happened recently, for that matter. I just don't get why we can't seperate foreign and domestic policy for a moment.

But what do I know I’m just some American fool on the Internet.
None of us can know. Aparentally you need family. And access to I guess, Russian TV stations?

I wonder if Swan Lake is playing lately.

The fact is we all have our bubbles to some extent. But at least I admit mine, and am open about them, and thus rely on logic to deconstruct arguments (mine that started this whole thing was simply "exclusive state media bad"), not family ties or whatever, which just build more bubble-reinforcement via further bias.

But I'm admittedly just being a shit now. I'll stop. I wouldn't blame the mods for handing out infractions here.

There is a lot of hypocrisy, Russia was bad but we bought their oil, Iran idem, Saudis idem. China is bad but we buy their stuff. If there is one thing i learned in life is there is always a choice (unless you're in some gulag), certain choices are just easier. This has more to do with momentary interested then doing the right thing.
Anyway...
Fair points all.

When I lived in Vancouver you meet massive numbers of immigrants. They all say "I tried to move to the US but couldn't get a VISA, so since Canada is easy, I moved here, and I plan to move to the US later when I can". The number of times I've made friends with Koreans that just stay in Canada until they can move to the US is hilarious. 100 thousand of them in Canada all trying to leave Canada after arriving there.
I haven't known this so far, but recently my twin brother went to US to attend a wedding of his sister in-law. As he spent a week there he has had a chance to talk to the groom, who happens to be an ICE (immigrations and customs enforcement) officer. And after some talking to him as well as doing his own research he told me that the easiest way to the US is through the Canada and has even given the info and links to official government programs for immigration into Canada. I've scored very highly, and I could easily immigrate there given my qualifications, English knowledge and IT studies background and work experience.
So far we're both planning to immigrate to Canada in a year or two and move to the US as soon as the Canadian citizenship is done, which is after 3 years living and working in Canada.
So that's actually very believable statement coming from you.

Big big big [Citation Needed] here.
Just look at the statistics. It is the country with the highest immigration levels in the world. That is surely not by accident.
Newsflash: it ISNT.
Now his absolute wording might irk you for some reason. Other than being pedantic about it, he is not wrong though.

It's more the use of absolute "everyone" that bothered me more than the facts of being #1 yes.

I thought so. Still overlooking that minor thing, he's right.
