Used vs. new NH-D14

Hi guys,

I just cant make a decision
One guy offers me 1,5 year used Noctua NH-D14
the warranty is 72 months, he will give me a copy of buying ticket
he will also send me all accessory, including half of thermal paste and not-used Noctua sticker
he wants 60€ (shipping included)

He also sent me pictures of fans, they look good

The new one costs 72€

(but he will sell it me with Noctua fans)

Should I buy new one or this? I dont know if does it worth buying, I have no guarantee if it isnt damaged... :shadedshu But I think that these coolers cant be damaged...

Or what should I do? Ask for some more photos?

I have one running for a year now without any problems. So you should have no problems too. Try to get the seller to lower the price to 55€ or so.

I just sold mine for 50USD Shipped or 39euro. try to get him to lower the price!

But do you think it wont be damaged somehow? and did u noticed that passive cooler at photo http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9794/20111107231240.jpg is a little damaged? (a plate in the middle of the passive cooler is slightly bowed - cant it be a problem?)

Seriously, if that is all he did to the cooler after 5 years, I think he took good care of it. You are worried about something you could fix with some needle nose pliers in a few seconds.

As long as you are getting the proper Noctua fans, and the accessories you need, you should be just fine with the used. I do agree at 5 years, you should get them to lower the price. Cause you can get a cooler with similar performance for around 55 like the Nzxt Havik 140.

grab the D14 if you can get a lower price on it,if not i would go for something like a Xigmatek Prime. NZXT routinely juices theres fans so they dont last very long

I think the cooler is 1.5 years old, not 5 years. Dont think the NH-D14 as a model is 5 years old yet.

IF the used one is 60 and the new one is 72, well, personally I'd get the new one. Now if he'd let it go for 50, then get the used one.
