Using old version's can cause issues?

Hello folks.

I am trying to fix the BIOS of my RX 580, and I get no memory and BUS feedback (and some other issues) on GPU-z, and I get error 52 on the driver page on windowns.

The thing is, I was only able to execute the AMD flash version 2.93, cause the newer versions are not working.

This may be the cause of my problems?

thx

You either flashed wrong bios or something wrong with the card.
Why were you "fixing" the bios in the first place ?

I have tried to give this card to my friend, it was one of my mining cards. But he could not use the card due the bios I used to mine. The thing is, I lost the backup of the original BIOS (and it is really hard to find the OG BIOs of this model), then on the attempt of installing a BIOS, I bricked the card.

Now it is not bricked, but any BIOS I try to install have the same issues. So in order to isolate the problem, I come to ask if this may be related with the flash installer version

Check the vram manufacturer and pick bios that supports it. Some bioses support more than one type.
