Vertical Gpu Mount Questions

I'm going to try out a vertical gpu mount for my dad's pc because that's what he wants. I have some questions regarding the temps. Although my dad doesnt play games, my brother does. Will the temps become higher? The gpu is msi trio rtx 3070. The casing is tecware forge. https://www.tecware.co/forge
The casing does support vertical mounting without any bracket but i think the gpu would be too close to the panel. So i bought an additional vertical mount bracket which will be installed on the horizontal pcie slots space. Will the temps be high?

The MSI TRIO RTX3070 seems to be a a 2.5 slot cooler design so yeah. Best case situation, it fits but the cooler won't have much room to breath against the glass. Worst situation, it won't fit.
I would just avoid mounting a huge card like that in a vertical position, unless you have a big case and/or plenty of clearance for the card to breath.

Which is why i got the vertical mounting bracket so that the gpu will installed deeper in the case away from the panel. Would that still pose a problem?

Tell your dad that if he wants higher thermals, this is how you get higher thermals. Leave the card alone.

Lmao ill bear that in mind but I'll try to make it work first since it's his dream anyway. He's a retired pc enthusiast.

Yeah after looking at that bracket I stand with what I said in my first post. It looks cool but with such a big card it's really not the best for thermals.

I'll give it a try first with the mounting bracket because case is quite wide. if the temps is high, horizontal it is. Why are bigger cards bad for vertical mounting?

Take the card length into consideration too.
I just recently used a Deepcool bracket on my 1st vertical GPU mount, in a Cooler Master Storm Stryker case.
The GPU is moved a bit deeper in the case, away from the backside.
Now this is a big case and still I had to remove some unused HDD trays to accomodate the GPU (a triple fan Strix card).
Other than that, it worked out great. The rubber padded bracket rests on the PSU.
