Video artifacts in all youtube videos (other platforms and gaming runs ok)

Hi there. From a time to now I'm having video artifacts (you know, random rectangles, lines, bad compression squares...) in almost every youtube video (on PC). At first I thought my vcard was dying, but heavy gaming, other platforms (FB, daylimotion...) and local videos (VLC mainly) play flawless. I have already tried to turn hardware acceleration OFF in chrome. In fact, it's even worse this way. I can't asure but I think it happens in all resolutions.
My internet connection is ok, the video preload is ample.
My gear is:

intel i7 10700k on Asus ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING. 32Gb RAM.

My vcard is a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 G1 gaming 8GB DDR5

Any ideas?

Have you tried using a different browser? Edge or Firefox?

You said it happens on almost all videos on youtube, but some work fine then?
Can you check which codecs are used on youtube when it doesn't work and when they do work?

Thanks, good point. I've been searching a while...
It seems it's a codec problem indeed. The issue appears in AV1 codec youtube videos. Vp9 for example, are fine. If I download a vp9 and an AV1 video and play them on VLC, both of them show the pertinent codec, and both of them play fine. So the problem is with AV1 codec, but only on youtube, not local.
IF it's a youtube problem (not mine) Shouldn't there be more people with this problem?
Thanks

Can you link to some of the videos that you have issue with so we can also see if we have the same problems?

Sure. Here it is:
I'm attaching some shots of the issue. I can catch the artifacts if I pause in the right moment (They remain there during the paused video). Some of these artifacts last fractions of seconds, other remain several seconds on screen. Some of them can be really big (I couldn't catch any of them right now, but you get a sense. I have one of these every few seconds, it's very distracting.
If I go back to the exact time where an artifact were, it's no longer there, I mean, they are not tied to an exact position of the video.
Thanks!

Just to narrow down a bit more:
Can you confirm that the issue persists on a different monitor, with a different cable, and with the IGP?
Have you tried streaming the video with VLC?(Open Network Stream - then enter the youtube URL)

Ok, Problem resolved. I've installed the Microsoft store AV1 decoder and now I have no artifacts in AV1 videos.
Thanks everybody for your answers!
