Vishera and Trinity to Take Over AMD Processor Lineup in 3Q 2012

so, will vishera (where's komodo btw?) have gpu on it as well?

If I recall correctly "Komodo" (Pilvedriver AM3+???) was cancelled. Please correct me if I'm wrong; with all the shifts and announcements AMD has been making is hard to keep up. :ohwell:

EDIT: Ok, I'm wrong. Just saw repman244's post. Komodo is on track according to the slides.

I can only hope that the Trinity DEVASTATOR () delivers. If that's the case I could see me going with a dual desktop setup: a ~150w ITX with Trinity for everyday tasks and older games and a mid tower with more powerful hardware for heavy gaming.

I've heard the same rumor and I'm not sure if you're wrong. The slides repman posted are from Nov. 2010 so the cancellation of Komodo could still be true.

Here is the source of the rumor.

It's poorly translated, and I can't vouch for the credibility of the site, but with there being no mention of Komodo in today's slides, it could be possible.

These are supposed to be newer slides (Around June 2011).

However, if Komodo is indeed canceled that is good news for AM3+ users. Since Vishera is using AM3+ and not FM2 (which was supposed to be Komodo).
Komodo was planned to have integrated PCI-e hence the new socket for it...

But as always, take everything with a salt mine.

Good to know but their a ways off.:banghead:

I'm done speculating because I really don't know a damn thing. Someday something will launch and I'll find out then.

So Komodo was FM2? I thought that Komodo was AM3+ PD.

So that would mean that FM2 is still ways off :(

Well if true, I may just look into upgrading sooner. No way I'll be able to milk my AM2 for that much longer. But, no way I have the money to do it now :/. Maybe after the holidays.
