well youve been a great help man :)

Cant wait for vista ultimate... was pondering about a dodgy copy, but i just thought for £100 i may as well get a legit OEM copy and be done with it hehe...
Even better still its media centre too... so i can watch movies and stuff on the big screen

thats the main reason I love vista, is the media center. It integrates my TV tuner, movies and music with ease, and its really cool with small parties, just leave it chillin on the TV and people can add songs to a playlist, or switch to TV or watch a movie, all seamless and easy. glad I could help.

Well i started it all... dug out the floor with my girl...
Then did the framework with my stepdad who popped round to help out (hes good with wood).
The flooring I got help with my father in law... (he does flooring for a living)

The plastering on the plasterboards was done by a professional as i decided that plastering wasnt something i wanted to learn on my boys room hehe..
Painting was done by my wonderfull girl who is brilliant at it..

finally the carpets were done by a company as i wanted nice plush ones that would feel great whilst barefoot... as i like to play games with my toes exposed hehehe :D

You forgot to mention the good ol electrican.

nope, i did the electrics :p
I been building radios, and fixing pretty much anything AC since i was about 10...
That was me hehe...

It was pretty basic really... just installing the lighting circuit, dimmer switch on the lights and the plug sockets with high guage cables... they also on their own circuit breakers as i wanted to be able to run all my audio gear in here later when i get that setup

( i have a load of synthesisers, amps, speakers, mixers, drum machines etc... )
this room was supposed to be my sound studio for making music, but it turned out to be a bit small so we going to build upstairs later... for now ill just have to find a way of cramming it all in :p
