Vista Ultimate + XP Pro boot problem

I did a fresh install of vista ultimate, and now i cant dual boot, i have XP Pro on a seperate partition already, then i installed vista on a empty partition andi figured it would automatically add it but it didnt. I tried Vista Boot Pro and that didnt work. I would apreciate any help?

Run the install again with vista then fix the MBR to dual boot.

Boot from your Vista DVD and where it says "Install Now","Repair your Computer".

Click on "repair your computer",it will then search for your Vista install,there is only one so click next and use the "Startup Repair" option.Then reboot and see if that helps.

Vista will try and fix any problems that are stopping it booting.This worked for me,so its worth a try.

that is one of the breaty of vista, its EASY to fix boot now, with xp you had to manualy boot cd, go into recovery console, copy a bunch of files and run some to!
