How do I add my name to pictures taken with vlc ?

This is your question literally copied from your post to google. The very first link is the FAQ page for VLC that gives you step by step instructions on how to do exactly what you asked.

I mean writing my name on the picture itself not naming the picture in the folder saved to.

Click Start, type Paint.

Microsoft Paint[1][2] is a simple computer graphics program that has been included with all versions of Microsoft Windows.

It works well enough, but I prefer Gimp which I download from www.ninite.com.

Purplekaycee, it's not that it's a silly question, but a very basic one that folks might expect you'd be able to type into Google and gain an immediate and easy answer to. No questions are stupid, but whom or what you ask could be incorrect at times. This is a very helpful place on technical issues for sure. But if you are asking these very basic and easy questions, it can spur some users to become annoyed because it is so easily answered by a search engine rather than them. This shows self drive and motivation to find an answer instead of always relying on others for answers.

Don't take offense to it, just make it a learning experience! The end result is a positive thing that will make you more effective at seeking the answers you need! :)

We all started not knowing much, and we all learn the various methods to obtain answers and try to take the initiative to answer our own questions before asking for help, it makes a difference in how you ask for help. :toast:
