I plugged in my new WD My Book 8TB drive and from time to time I feel like bonk in my table and when I hold the my book it's coming from it like the reading head stops and starts this is so far not normal is it?
I got a 10TB from a WD My Book this doesn't have this issue.
This 8TB drive is a WDC WD80EDAZ-11TA3A0
The 10TB drive is a WDC WD100EZAZ-11TDBA0
From what I can read online the WDC WD80EDAZ could be a WD Ultrastar HC320 8TB.
When I look at CrystalDiskMark the Power on count is 6 and Power on Hours is 1hours right now becuase I been transfering about 830GB data on to it but I am worrying this drive will fail from that bonk sound just want to ask if this is normal or I need to contact WDC support because I don't think I can catch bonk on video but I can feel it in my table

Hmm after his data transfer the disk keeps making the same nose, so I am gonna make a wipe with zero's and retur this disk to the store and get another one.
My nervous and teeth doesn't like this.
