Weird GPU model in my laptop

Hi! I have Lenovo Legion Y520 with i5-7300HQ and GTX 1050. I wanted to undervolt CPU and GPU due to thermal throttling. I've done it on CPU without problems but I found something interesting in GPU specs. I bought this laptop as new with "GTX 1050" but system reports the following specs:

• Product Name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
• GPU Chip: GP 107M
• Bus: PCIe 3.0 x16
• Memory: 4 GB GDDR5, 128-bit
• GPU clock: 1354 MHz
• Shaders / TMUs / ROPs: 640/ 40/ 16

I was looking for power limit for this model but I couldn't find it with exactly this specs. I'm a little bit confused and curious what they've mounted in factory

What is the weird part?

Run gpu-z and post a screenshot. I assume you're looking for a particular manufacturer but if you just want a generic tool to underclock with msi afterburner works with all gpu's and is free and fairly powerful.

@StefanM @oobymach according to your replies I visited shared link and realised that I hadn't noticed GTX 1050 2GB is doubled in TechPowerUp database. That's why I was suspicious about my GPU model. There is a model with 4GB RAM on the https://www.notebookcheck.net/ site. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your replies.

Have you made sure to clean it out properly? I have the 7700HQ/1050ti model and suffer no problems with thermal throttling at all. I mean it gets warm, sure. But kept clean and on a flat surface, it should not have any issues.
During notebookchecks review of the model they got it to just barely touch on thermal problems with a FurMark and Prime95 combo. And nothing you will ever do on it normally will reach that level of heat. For reference their gaming test reached 66c CPU and 68c GPU after a hour. Mine peaks out at about 70-75c, although I have some bad fans instead and they sound dreadful.

I'm before thermal paste replacement because the stock one probably doesn't keep the parameters. I also clean cooling system regularly. In the daily use the temperatures are fine. For example in Horizon Zero Dawn I get 40/41 avg. fps on the lowest possible settings (1080p). The temperatures goes up to 80 degrees but after exceeding 70-71 degrees CPU clock drops from 3,5 GHz to 2,3 GHz causing massive stuttering.
