Hello
My dears, I can't cope :(
I built a PC 5 months ago, everything was working great, and something strange started happening. I did all the Memory, Processor, etc. tests.
It was great, better than in the instructions. And now I have a problem because I can't even play pacmene because it will kick me out. Generally, games load after 20 minutes. Movies are interrupted The mouse is tearing (O)(O) Computer RTX 4090 MSI Carbon z790 power supply 1050 MSI Ram DDR5 Fury 2x16 i-9 13900K processor and it works worse than my grandfather's calculator :(
I tried WITH DRIVERS. But it didn't help.
The strangest thing is that when I install a new Windows, it works until the Update and then the same thing. I even bought Win 11 in MM and it worked for 3 days and shit :( the same as with Win 10.
Maybe some of you have had such a case or can give some advice.
I thought it overheated, but it never got higher than (55 degrees). I reset everything to zero + Format, new partitions, etc. And I have no idea. Plis Help :)
Windows update Lasts from 8 hours.

Regards, Mieto

Exactly what power supply is that? It doesn't sound like a PSU problem but we will need to know the exact model.

More likely this is a drive issue. What model is that? A new NVMe SSD I would hope.

Someone's going to figure this out pretty fast so hang in there.

OP, I suggest you fill out your system specs in your profile. It will help a LOT in diagnosing your problem.

Hay
The power supply is MPG A1000G PCIE5

Yep, sounds like a poop SSD!

Are the CPU power inputs fully seated with the correct power leads inserted?

Most enthusiast mobos have an EPS 8-pin/4+4-pin for main CPU +12V, *and* a 4-pin +12ATX for 'stability' (or, another whole 8/4+4 EPS).
I've both read and experienced many anecdotal cases of instability/performance issues from neglecting to connect all availible +12 CPU power.

Yep, sounds like a poop SSD!
I've had a bad SATA cable cause this kind of problem before (Also, *once* in a totally 'factory sealed' AIO PC.). Even if it was only connected to my ODD (CD/DVD drive).
Theoretically, dirty/corroded PCIe/M.2 fingers could cause similar, too.

Notably towards your point, long-time friend of mine had similar problems w/ an ADATA NVME SSD before it entirely stopped R/Wing.

I know, I check everything cable by cable.
The best thing is that for a few months it was perfect like a fairy tale and I added an M.2 SSD disk and bought Windows 11 pro and it started working.

Yeah, if a bad SATA/ATA connector, most of the time. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary for NVMe, so far. Then, I try my best not to get stuff on the M.2 fingers.

Thank you very much for your help, Guys, I will check everything one by one, what you write. Well, if it worked, it must work again ;)

Wow a lot of SSDs, so more chance one of them is doing something wrong, but...

Sometimes people, and I hate to say it but OLD people in particular will be using some bunk antivirus software that isn't needed and cripples performance. You wouldn't be guilty of that right?

Any chance you could get us a screenshot of hwmonitor or something so we can see the actual temps? The LCD on your block is nice and all, but if it isnt fully seated then the core temp can be vastly hotter than what the probe on that cold plate is reading.

Yep, sounds like a poop SSD!
There was a time when knights saved virgins, but that was once upon a time, because virgins no longer exist :)

Thank you for your tips and help
