The rule I quoted off your post in tanderson's thread can be debatable unless it's clarified. When I read it, I assumed that W1z meant that there can't be threads like:

Hi any1 wanna buy an i7? pm offers and i might sell lolol

It's essentially the same as a seller refusing to sell to a particular buyer.

thats how you interpreted the meaning, but when you read it says "no items for sale in the future"

That literally means no items for sale in the future. not tomorrow, next week, not in two weeks - right now.

Just like how people got the handwritten rule and used printed notes, or read 'heatware' and decided to sell without it, the rules cant be altered just cause someone thinks its a pain in the ass.

partly to make them better (we tend to figure that out on our own, many users just want the rules removed/lessened), but mostly to make sure people actually read them - clearer wording, bigger letters, that kind of thing.

Until i bolded the handwritten part of the rules and there was an infraction spree, no one bloody followed it.

"Feeler" threads, or threads to "check the interest of item(s)" are not acceptable. No pre-sale threads. No listing items that will be for sale in the future. Anything item that is posted, be it for sale or for trade, again, must have your member name in the picture along with the item.

It's the last part where W1z again stated that items listed must have pictures with a name that had me (and presumably n-ster) misinterpreting the rule. I say you should just remove the last part.

That is clarified in the guidelines. I updated this myself last week.

"You MUST have a picture of the item WITH your name HAND WRITTEN on a piece of paper at the time you post it for sale. NO EXCEPTIONS! No posts stating "pics up in a minute" or any such nonsense. Your thread will be deleted immediately without explanation if you do this. It is not necessary for additional pictures of the same item, like pictures taken from a different angle to have the sellers username handwritten on a piece of paper"

I'm starting to feel like this thread is outliving it's usefulness.
