meanwhile, I checked out wd legion on gamepass, looks pretty fun to play.

I've enjoyed RE2, 3, and 4 remakes, but I have to say, the RE3 one was very short. I also preferred the end boss fight in 2 the most of any of them. I just felt it was more creative and challenging, whereas the other fights were kind of simpler and more repetitive.

However I still feel the Swarmak boss fight in Gears of War 4 trumps all RE boss fights. It's an epic battle, especially on Inconceivable if you don't use the easy cheese method. That said, I absolutely hated the cargo plane fight in GoW4 on Inconceivable, which is the one battle that's kept me from beating it on that mode. The fact that there's no checkpoint after blowing both of the plane engines and that they drop incendiary bombs that can cover most of the road makes it very hard.

The RE2 remake was a very good one, and faithful to the original as well. I've enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah I'd have to say of all of the RE Remakes, it's the one that has the most heart pounding suspense. You really need to know and plan your route well or the Lickers and Mr X will get you, or you'll have ammo issues. There were several times when figuring out best routes I had to narrowly avoid Mr X attacks. Learning how to dodge his attack while going opposite direction through doorways helped a lot.

Sure, there's rng, but there are tactics to maximise your chances. It takes time but you'll start developing new approaches. It's very well done IMO and a lovely game to dip into on a daily basis for short sessions but don't overdo it because yes, it will feel like a grind.

That joker combo is pretty insane. This hand will give x3 + x3 + x5.5 + x 5.5. 4.7m in one hand is a good start.

I had taken a break from BB to finish KCD2. Now that's done I went back to BB and finished DLC and completed the game first time at 60FPS :peace:

Lady Maria is still my favorite boss in the game.

re4 remake. amazing game, better even than re3. it improves upon every aspect of the previous one that I like so much, starting from much better inventory management. it also feels like the right balance between a classic horror game and a classic action TPP. 9.5/10 so far for the story and gameplay. haven't progressed much, I like playing games I like very, very slowly and thoroughly.

the game runs great too, despite being set in semi-open world with a lot of geometry. running 1440p max with high RT and 1.4x resolution scaling, no fsr, doesn't drop below 70fps on 4070S. With 1.0x resolution it's +100fps. extreme texture settings are nothing more than placebo as usual, here's max (8GB textures) vs high (2GB textures)

We ride at dawn, Pebbles.

I tried that game (Kingdom Come: Deliverance for the asking), and it really felt like one of those games that should be played on hardcore mode, but I'm going to quote myself here:

"I got so angry with the arbitrary hardcore mode (specifically the bollocksation of the compass, you don't get directions but quest markers will show up when you get close enough? That means that if you're supposed to talk to someone "down in the village" you have to run around until you see the marker, and as a result the introduction, before the first save, felt super long plus the punchout with the guy felt pretty much impossible with my build) I gave up. All of it sounds great but the directionless compass just feels really, really unneccasary and stupid."

Aye, this is my fourth or fifth attempt at playing it; all the others ended in the prologue or shortly thereafter. Mainly because the combat system made my brain feel like it had been twisted it into a balloon animal.

This time I made it to Rattay, trained with Bernard for about ten in-game days (a couple dozen 10-20 minute RL sessions). It's super enjoyable now that my stats are basically carrying my uncoordinated ass.

Really appreciate the open world games that reward you for planning, not just short term.. but the rest of the day/week/etc. Yesterday I purchased KCD2 at full price, something I don't really do any more given my backlog. Pretty much speaks for itself :)

Yeah, the prologue has a lot of strange choices, design-wise. I'm glad I finally got through it, big thumbs up.

I'm playing Normal mode, but self-enforced No Fast Travel and No Crime (apart from poaching.. which is more than enough).

I wanted to play the original one but it didn't play nice with modern system. I installed it on my Windows XP rig and that card didn't support OpenGL 3.3 smh so I play the remastered version. I love RTS but why I feel this game is so tough to me...

Yes, 7800x3d & 4070ti got 120 FPS all max, DLSS-Q btw.

At first sight it really looks like the original but it's a better experience overhaul, it was needed to be better tho.

Saturday Night Live with my buddies, sadly Shadowplay set input to Line In for some reason so posting my clanmates video:

it's an amd sponsored game, there is only fsr2 and it looks like absolute dog****

I only tested FSR in Robocop, ugly as i never seen anything else displayed in my life, didn't kept the bad game tho.

And yes i should have known, the RE game have RTX (of some degree) but never DLSS.

tbh, the RT in RE4/3/2 is very console-like, it's only shadows and reflewctions, and done at quarter resolution. it's not really on the level of PC ray tracing - all three would befefit from proper RTGI most.
I too think fsr2 in Robocop was terrbile, including fsr grame gereration that stuttered like crazy when dlss fg was smooth.
I like the game though, I started it but never finished, like I often do - moved onto something else, Jedi Survivor I think, as I like action TPPs more.

Monster Hunter Wilds... is not that i was expecting more compare to World, this one just fell short in almost every aspect.

they focused so much in the story, that they lock you from doing anything else. No exploration, no collecting/gathering/harvesting, no discovery.
The multiplayer option is a pain.
Theres no challenging monsters, the apex monsters are a joke not a real menace.

Maps/regions ?? lazy just plain laziness

the desert area and the forest are the only decent ones. The other ones lack of life and interaction, plain boring and dull.

The main point of Monster Hunter is the grind for materials so you can build a better weapon, better equipment, jewels, charms.
THERES NO FREAKING GRIND! you basically can have all the materials in 1 run! and even though for what reason?
Monster are EASY!! they left the carting palicos without work.

Performance???? oh boy that the freaking #1 offender here!!! not even with my system dlss on i can play at 60 fps lock.
I dont want to imagine people with lower systems.

Maybe is just me ranting about something that i love and wanted to see more, but i just tell myself.
They didn't need to reinvent the wheel, MHWorld was a success, Iceborne was great. Why deviate so far from that formula.
Did they try to target the main audience?, the ones that you need to win the game for them?, the toddlers? ??

Dark Souls has a motto right? " YOU DIED"
you know for sure you will die a hundred times in that game

Monster Hunter motto is " you will cart" doesnt matter what weapon or armor you have " YOU!! WILL !!! CART!!!!
and some crazy ass cats are gonna take your beaten body back to camp where you need to prepare yourself again if you want to win that fight.
gather items, consider changing equipment cuz att, def, status effect, element dmg etc.
Nothing of that is needed it, nothing.

There are many more negatives points about the game that i cant recall rn while im writing because the more i try to put together
the flaws of the game the more im pissed.
Im not enjoying the game at Monster Hunter Game level, im just passing through.

Monster Hunter Wilds is just Dull.

my honest opinion, i started since ps2 Monster Hunter and loved every piece of the series.
they dropped the ball and the story fells like a Resident Evil story

I felt there's just too much of a marketing involved for this game to end up as something worth playing.

MHW had its drawbacks, but I enjoyed it for a certain period, when I had people to play it with. When it was fresh. Exploration was fun, the world felt alive enough to get you immersed.
It had that kind of potential to be really fun, especially with mods that added some QoL features.

Performance wise I remember it was a demanding game back then, especially when in areas with a lot of particles. But not being able to have more than 60FPS from your rig on this new game is a real downer.

Unfortunately, the majority of the titles are targeting kids nowadays. And it doesn't matter if it's about the sequel, game set in the same universe, or w/e, they are aiming to introduce the game to the fresh crowd, that might not even heard or not even being born when the original came out.
It's like they want to say: "who are you anyway, ah the customer who played our OG game, well piss of bugger, we already got your money". And they're kinda right. The new generations will play new games, love them, and the companies will get their money anyway. Ignorance is a bliss.
It's much easier for them to not be burdened with living up to the expectations of the original, whether we're talking about gameplay, lore, characters or a world setting.

My system with World was the 7700k + GTX 1070 at 2560x1440p
i played with no issues, some graphics tweaks 60fps lock.
Visually Wilds is not even far from World is almost here. Still performance is so freaking bad that messes up the experience. I feel like playing on ps4 with washed graphics and low fps.

You just explained that perfectly

Mine was e3-1241v3 + 1060 6GB at 1200p, and sometimes it was a struggle to keep it locked at 60, with minor dropping of visually less impactful settings.
But yeah, that's about expected and, compared to the new games, it was the pinnacle of performance optimization for a given visuals. :D

are there more classic RE remakes coming ? I think re3 and re4 remakes have made my top10 ever list. I put re3 on pause for a while, but re4 is the type that once you start it, you can't play anything else.
