Hi, guys! I'm resurrecting an old rig and some your help to pick up a suitable graphics card considering its overclocking ability.
My system specs:
ASUS P5Q-E
Q9650 (planning to push it to 4.0~4.5 GHz)/Cryorig H5
4x 2GB DDR2 @1000MHz
Evga GQ 650W
I will gaming on a 24“ monitor @1080p. I'm choosing among rx470, GTX970 and GTX1060 3GB. I don't know which one could be better! If there's any better option, feel free to guide me.

So! and a 970 vs a 1060 or rx 480 is what?

A slower card.. let the dude upgrade and not bottle neck the cpu
I doubt his CPU can handle anything stronger. A new board/chip and dip would be a much better investment, but the thread is long dead.

Honestly even a 970 is a bit too much for that platform.
