If it is not moveable - just ignore it. It may be a accident drop of metal used to the connect heatsink to the heat-pipes/heat-camera/other basis. Seen this several times, completely safe and fine.

If it is moveable (touch with a needle) - chances are its some dirt leftover, may be a good idea to carefully extract it, to avoid it "unexpectedly drops out to the rotating fan while gaming a year later"

I asked a few same card owners and they told have same thing in different places, I guess they put that to increase integrity of fins or leftover solder etc. I poked that with paper bookmark but its not moving, fixed there. Gonna ignore that but would it be heat sensor really? Doesn’t have any cables around that.

Tell you what, send me the card, I will send you my 4070Ti, and you will receive 0 defects and PhysX :)

I kid!

PM for details

If it is fixed and is placed differently on different cards - thats not a intentionally placed thing. My bet that it is leftover solder (that was used to connect part of heatsink to each other)

Thanks all for answers, gonna ignore it. I’m asking these cuz I have some PTSD about defect GPUs, before had 4070TiS from Galax, which had burnt cable out of the box and returned. Right now all is good.

I would poke it something nice and gently, if it doesn't move I would just leave it be.
