What do you need multiple PCs for?

1 primary/gaming/whatever
2 wifes rig/bills/important files/her stuff
3 old school gaming or incase rig 1 goes down
4 laptop portability
if I had the money i would ahve number 5 as a server/file backup but I do that with external drives atm.

I have 2 pc's because I like to share with my friends at LANs if they dont want to carry their PC's that and Im in college with 1 pc and my other is at my house

i need a minimum of three machines

gaming/main pc q8200/hd4850 for gaming and stuff
server atom 330 for 24/7 use torrents etc as my main pc uses far too much power
laptop for when i don't have access to the other 2 computers

Main rig: Internet, multimedia playback, production of photos and videos, gaming. (in that order, sadly)

Laptop: Internet, school work, mobile gaming platform. (in that order)

Server: Self explanatory, backups my main rig and my laptop nightly, holds my stuff.

1 - Main rig in sig is for games and video encoding

2 - laptop for surfing the net when in the living room etc (basically so i am not being antisocial with the other half) lol. sony

3 - Laptop for the net when upstairs in other rooms lol . advent crap
