i dunno where you read that, this part makes it clear enough


A maximum of 2 legacy monitors (VGA, DVI or HDMI) can be enabled simultaneously, provided that each monitor is connected either directly or via a “passive” DisplayPort™ adapter/dongle. “Passive” adapters/dongles will NOT support more than 2 legacy monitors.

i think what you said, doesnt match up with what you meant.


you said every monitor that isnt DP, needs an active dongle... that aint true. you just need a dongle for the 3rd monitor (and up) if they arent native DP

focus on this line alone.

in other words, after you use two of the three older connectors (DVI/HDMI), any new connections must be displayport - either native, or via an active dongle.

you cant span across 2 lcds in games but if you have 3 lcds it automatically does it for you?

eyefinity makes your multiple monitors look like one single, extra wide monitor. it works with as many screens as you have connected.


any game that lets you select those resolutions, will work.

well i have 2 working right now and i have 6 games that are on the supported list... none will let me use more than 1 lcd for gameplay.

there is no tab or anything in CCC that says anything about eyefinity

you have to enable eyefinity for it to work.


first, set your monitor to clone mode (not extended desktop) then look in CCC.


what driver version are you on anyway?

try the 11.4 previews, awesome drivers.


i only ran dual monitor eyefinity for all of 2 minutes, but it DID show in CCC on 11.4 for me


edit: just checking, but you have all your monitors connected to the same video card, yes? no crossfire?

honestly, having two monitors connected (three when you get that DP adaptor) should have an eyefinity option show up in CCC.

i'd say any decent 350W would handle that just fine. i'd go 400-500W if possible however, just for some headroom.


you could probably make it run on a 250W ITX PSU, but i'd be worried about heat build up.
