What is going to be your next tech upgrade? just curious :)

Probably a display tablet. The idea of a second screen and being able to free the desk space my current tablet takes up sounds great. Just sitting on my hands until I can justify the purchase to myself enough or catch a fire sale.

More of want than needs but I'm looking forward for AM5 build. What I really need right now is new GPU. Need more than 8GB VRAM cards. It might be RTX 5060Ti. Since I also run CUDA apps, stable diffusion and whatnot I need 16GB of VRAM.

Seriously I don't feel... confident upgrading in the near future.

My system is well prepared to go for say 4 years without missing a beat. Ask me then.

Dell Alienware AW2725Q

Would be nice if touted ai suites could somehow be leveraged to reduce VRR flicker via G-Sync / Freesync etc. (selective / contextual / predictive frame generation?!)

probably gpu, but would have to wait atleast 6 months ore even more.

Probably another nvme, hopefully 8TB one.
In the future I'm planning a new GPU and to replace all the memory to 4*64GB at reasonable latency. The one I have is the very first betch of DDR5 and thay are slooooow...

New graphics card, really depends on price and availability and how much VRAM the 5060 will have. Hopefully the 5070 Ti's in stock next month at MSRP, but if the 5060 Ti 16Gb is actually available on release at $429 I'll just get that. Otherwise I'll wait for a 12Gb 5060 if it actually exists.

Same here. Outrageous prices for relatively small gains. My computer budget this year is $0.00 unless something breaks.
Same, but then I recently upgraded so why would I.

Maybe a monitor at some point, the only real upgrade I am triggered by is OLED.

I was considering a TCL 27R83U or the Thunderbird U9 as an OLED alternative, but they don't seem to sell them here yet. I've read that apparently certain regions are moving in the direction of OLED (can't seem to find where I read that), which probably explains the prices dropping. Who knows where they'll be in 3 years time?!

Mine is new enough as well. At least for my current needs.

Yeah, that bug got me last year. I do have to say - the image quality is well beyond my expectations.

I bought a RX 7900 XT brand new for $649, and the price after my trade in it will be $289. Plus got Monster Hunter Wilds bundled with it. So I say solid deal. Also, does a case count? If so, I also bought the Montech King 95 Pro.

It's my birthday today so I'm kind of splurging.
I never get these kinda deals where I'm at .

Either another 4TB SSD for my second rig or a 9070 XT or 5070 Ti when the market comes to it's senses.

Sooooooo pretty much a 4TB SSD.

An OLED monitor. Not to replace the monitor I have, but to use alongside it.

I'm pretty much sorted for the next 4-5 years. Unless Zen 6 comes with more cores per CCD and ends up being dirt cheap, I'll pass for the foreseeable future.

I'm also now adding a new NAS ecosystem to the shopping list after Synology announced even more drive locked out features to new models further down their tier stack.

The Nintendo Switch 2. Yes, it is more expensive than I'd like and it'll take time for me to build a library for it which I couldn't play on my current Switch, but I'm a sucker and will buy it all the same.

A 27" QHD monitor

For me. Although its not quite set in stone just yet. A beefier laptop. Im looking at a pretty loaded zen book but Lenovo ideapads are also being considered

I needed a GPu but that should be sorted when I arrive home.

::EDIT::

This laptop could well be on the cards before I leave Hong Kong - The most modern of zenbooks In the UK you cant get one of the same spec.

Probably a VR headset, rumors are Steam has a next gen one coming out this winter, but with the tariffs who knows, maybe that's not happening now. IF VR doesn't happen for me, then probably next upgrade for me will be the RTX 5080 Super Ti go fk myself edition 24gb VRAM for $1599 MSRP, but really $1799 cause deep down I hate myself and use gaming as an escape

something like that

NEXT as in purchase? Either a 5700X3D, 5900X or some telescoping rigging for photo/video.
I am in a VERY good place with hardware, not so much with software and financials.
I've got a LOT on the table to shuffle in:
Quadro P620
Sapphire Pulse 9070XT
SolarFlare Flareon SFN8522
be quiet! Pure Power 12 M
Portable 2.5K monitor
HDMI video capture card
HDMI 4K dummy plugs
2x Crucial P310 500GB M.2
GloTrends PCI-E x1 M.2 adapter
2x 80mm fans

I could probably drag out a 40x80mm copper block and pair of TECs for the next video but gotta do cleanup and get things sorted with storage.
It's also starting to look like I already need to jump ship from Server 2016 for 2019/2022 on just the video rack, which is another storage dance.
Swapping out network gear in the eMachines and the rest is odds and ends.
