possibly tiger woods, fifa football (soccer to you) is their best seller here (u.k.) and i think in the rest of europe, but tiger sells well here too, how well does fifa sell there?

Ummm... unfortunately, soccer just isn't that big here in the states. Hockey has a much larger following than soccer (in the states) which is kinda strange if you think about it but the sad fact is, although soccer has become a bit more popular in the last decade or so, it only has a very small regional coverage here in the states.

Most popular sports in the US (TV viewing) (AFAIK)

1) Nascar/F1/Indy/Drag (Autoracing)
2) NFL (football)
3) Baseball
4) Basketball
5) Golf

I could be wrong with the place I put a few of them in but those are generaly correct sport wise for the top 5. Nascar by far and away leads all sports in fan attendance and individual TV viewer ratings here in the US. We're talking about 100,000-200,000+ people in actual race attendance per event! It's gotten so big that ESPN has picked up the TV contract for Nascar races to be broadcasted in HD each week.

yeah, didnt think fifa would sell well there, wheras nascar and madden dont sell too well here, now you've mentioned it though, hockey and basketball games sell o.k. here

my money would have to be on tiger woods (though i wouldnt be at all surprised if madden outsells it in the usa)

fifa soccer was the most fun back in the mid 90s where they had indoor soccer mode and you could turn off all penalties. so it was basically royal rumble !

another problem fifa has is pro evo soccer, im pretty sure it outsells fifa every year (and its better)
