What phone you use as your daily driver? And, a discussion of them.

Can share some feedback about low-end Samsung A05s. The phone feels extremely sluggish, it seems the Android 14 version, it's currently installed on, is a resource hog.

Still on the iPhone SE 2020 I purchased earlier this year. iOS18(.1) seems fine. :)

Oppo a54s

I have it around 3 years now, still works fine.
I use it for WhatsApp and Telegram, and browsing. Thats all.

Huge capacity. Do you save a lot of things on your phone or have a massive app collection?
the answer is always porn. lol, jokes apart a lot of people just use their phone as main, so they dont transfer their pics/videos to their PC.

Samsung isnt a good choice for low ends, I much prefer Xiaomi's redmi series for that.

Still using the 13 Mini. Still incredibly frustrated that Apple discontinued the line. I don’t want a BIG HUEG phone, I want something that easily fits into my slacks pockets and is usable one-handed. Grr hiss and all that.

Using Zenfone 9, quite sad what happened to that product line... but to be expected, "small" phones are not really popular.

Still after 2 and a half years of use, 1.5 - 2 Days of Battery-time is pretty good in my opinion.

I have been using Honor 7x from Huawei company for almost 5 years. Solid phone from build perspective, however, camera lens has gone bad as the phone fell many times from 3-4 feet height. On the other hand, with 3GB RAM - 32GB Storage it's quite outdated now. Will buy new, let's see, what's in line for me at available budget.

Samsung is a bad choice for all performance tiers. Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo simply have no competition.

Also, there are very cheap alternatives at aliexpress, for example:

This goes for only less than $65.

Or you just save stuff offline. Tidal takes up about 40GB on my phone (128GB Pixel 8a), add some podcasts and whatnot and I'm really starting to miss that SD card reader. The next phone will absolutely have either at least 500GB or an SD slot.

My Pixel (8 pro) has been shouting about it for a week or two now.

Put it off due to travelling.

I see my working place many people keep changing phone when new model come out.
For me I am not crazy about phone have been using Samsung Galaxy A13 for quite some time already.

Daily driver has been iphones for a few years now, last android was an S20 ultra.

Picked up a Galaxy Fold 6 the other day.. been curious about the folds and see how the experience is, so far 1 week in, its been pretty great.

I guess people don't like slow phones, and for this they are right.
There are many things about phones which may or may not be liked by people.
So, your personal device should be up to the tasks at hand.

i always used to get the cheapest one that met my needs. I already have a dslr for taking pics so camera has never been a top priority for me.

Unfortunately, because of smart phone devices becoming mainstream, being a corporate employee means you have to run a lot of work related apps on your phone, like teams and other channels. And since they are always running, i have had performance issues with slower phones like my Galaxy A51 which i had used for 3 years. Once i was unable to book a cab because it had gotten so slow lol. (thanks to the work apps and the other junk we put on them)

after i reformatted that phone and installed just a few basic work apps, it works perfectly fine. Oh well, now i daily 2 phones, the A51 for work usage, and the S22 as my main lol.

Samsung is the apple of Android phones. Definitely very very far away from being cheapest and affordable.
You can get other brands with extremely high performance for a fraction of the Samsung's phones cost.

Only in the high-end (S and Z ranges). Have you ever seen the A and M ranges? Mid-end at best, and their low-end are very competitively cheap and frustrating to use.
And those are the ones I know locally. AFAIK there's also the C and F ranges in other places.

A05s is $100. If Samsung slashes the price to $39.99, the phone would have a realistic price tag.
I mean that Samsung is just like Apple and Nvidia, overcharges a premium tax on all of its products. That's why I call it not worthy.

I have 1 year on my 14 Pro and my battery is at 98% capacity.

My XS Max saw soo much more use as I was an avid Mario Kart subscriber..

But this phone saw very little since the scaling sucked. My next phone will be another Max.

I have a S24 regular. Works totally fine and I like it.
Same here, not many other non-Apple options for a small-ish phone (I miss my s10e) with good cameras.

I find the upper range of the A lineup to have really good value, specially here in Brazil. They often go for way less than their prices abroad.
The FE lineup is also pretty nice, even though its pinnacle was with the S20 FE.

I rather spend on my computer rather then my phone :kookoo:
