Hello I am using HWMonitor to monitor my temps and it's fine until I open up a game, The max temps are 50 degrees celsius, and when I open a game the temp rises and then my pc becomes unresponsive with artifacts, so which program will I use?
I am on Windows 7 and I have a GTX 750 Ti, I cleaned the dust out and it worked for about 4 hours but now it has started to happen again

my system specs are:

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9950 Quad-Core Processor
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
OS: Windows 7 Pro

MSI Afterburner or any program just like it (ASUS GPU Tweak, Sapphire Trixx, NVIDA Inspector, etc).

Please create your system specs so we know what hardware you are working with.

Okay will do

sounds like your card has a fault.. are the fans spinning at all.. it should not be as high as 50 C before you open a game..

i dont think its as simple as speeding up the fans..

trog

Some cards fans do not turn on until 60C... Depending on what I was doing on the desktop, I saw 40-50C with some other cards I reviewed. ;)

That said, its worth it to look at the default fan curve and see what is going on.

I was looking at the wrong thing.. It's 23-26 before opening a game.. but I cannot see what it goes to because as soon as I open the game it crashes my computer

if it's that immediate it could very well be completely unrelated to temperature

is this new or since purchase?

Artifacting generally not result of temp's the card temps got so hot and caused damage to it. Messing with fan curve likely not gonna stop it as card does sound like its on its last leg.

As you said it crashes when you load a game so does point to as the card is pretty much done for.

I only got it August 2015 though?

I had a card that ran everyday tasks without a problem but when I started up a game it would always crash, had to RMA it.
