I Have An Biostar TA790GX A2+ ,And I Have 2gb of ocz 8500 ddr2 pc2 ram, im looking for 4gb of ram,i looked on the motherboard supporting ram,and i got no luck in finding ram that supports it,can someone help me out,i want my pc to go faster but i do not wanna spend 70 bucks on some ram thats ddr2 thats old,thanks alot. btw these are not my pictures i just wanna show you what i have.

AM2+ chips support DDR2 -1066/800/667/533. (AM3 chips support DDR3 - didn't see speeds up probably lower stuff (never tried DDR3 on AM2+ personally, but you can't use DDR2 and DDR3 at the same tme))

For DDR2 I think I'd stick with running it at 800. According to many reviews on Newegg, getting ram to run at 1066 was frustrating and difficult.

Your problem is that DDR2 is expensive now, $60-80 for a 4gb set new.


Edit: if you're in the US, give @Maban a message, awesome guy. He has a 4gb kit for sale
