As the title says, this is an enthusiast site mostly visited by enthusiasts so it could give a meaningful outlook on present monitor trends.

If you're willing, please comment on typical gaming styles and frequency used ie 1080 60hz.

1440p at variable refresh. Frequency varies depending on game/settings/etc. I generally aim for 75hz+.

2048x1152 @ 60 Hz

:D

1440 and 2160

2560x1080 75hz

Mainly at 1080p 60Hz but sometimes at lower resolution too

1440p @ 60Hz. Usually cap my FPS to 75 to keep things consistant.

1080 60Hz here too.

1080 60Hz

IIRC someone took a similar poll about a year ago, and even on an enthusiast site, it turned out 1080p does not mean "non-enthusiast", because it was the most used.

1080p 60Hz | 1080p 75Hz

Interesting mix so far, about what I expected to be fair but hopefully more will share.

Personally I'm tied mentally because I favour max quality ,But playing a really fast paced shooter, doom for example I'll drop Res to 1440p for 75+ FPS ,I'd even have a go at clocking this monitor but it worries me I've clocked a dlp projector from 720p to 1080 but the controls oddly melted.

1600p 60Hz
Not an option in your survey....

I tried bigger resolution (thus bigger monitor) and found that I didn't like it.

It wasn't about quality. The screen was too big and I found myself moving my head to look at the whole screen. It's not something I favor to do.
1080p and 21.5 inch monitor are the sweet spot for me.

1600p 60Hz
Not an option in your survey....
Sorry I tried to remember all the major ones I'll try and make the pole look pretty again too.

768p 60Hz, and 900p 75Hz, it's really not a preference, I just don't buy new things unless old ones break.

Tho I do plan to move up (eventually) to 1080p Freesync in the future.

1080p 60Hz on a 32" TV

No 1200p option..... good old Dell UltraSharp Widescreen...2007's version of Ultra High Definition
