Well my system isn't even here yet, but I'm looking to buy a replacement chipset cooler for my 580x Northbridge.

I want something copper, big, and with a fan, or what ever works the best.

Any ideas?

Hard to say really. I've never seen anything on the Thermaltake. I've seen a few good reports on the Swiftech tho. Either one will likely be better than stock anyway. Besides, my old 580x board never really got all that got, even when overclocking. It's nowhere near as hot as nVidia chipsets.

I read somewhere that they do get hot.....I don't know if it is worth my time or not, but I would think that it would be.

I had an ECS KA3 MVP, and it never heated up past 45c, overclocked to 284HT. Before watercooling, my current nForce4 board idled at 57c, NOT overclocked.

the thermaltake is nice...looks like a mini zalman 9500 ;)

Nope its already shipped.

I hope this mod turns out good and looks good to. Honestly I hope the chip is on that side of the long heatsink. But I will find out tomorrow on where it is under it.
