What's happening? CPU-Z freezes at 70 percent, every time on my ASRock X570 Steel Legend!

And Windows always reports that it's not responding. I always have to force close it. But it seems that I possibly need to reboot for the frozen splash of CPU-Z to go away!

Anyone else seen anything like this, besides what looked like an outdated Reddit post?

Sounds like it's getting stuck at the "update" portion when opening. Mine does that sometimes on the wifi rigs if connection is a little crappy that day.

My gut was saying something else! I flashed to the latest UEFI-BIOS for security reasons and the problem is gone, so far! Looks like what was last year's UEFI-BIOS, is as janky as you know what!

Try editing cpu.ini and change the line CheckUpdates=1 to 0

EDIT: Just noticed you sorted it out, good.

The BIOS flash was my normal protocol, for chances of exploit-bugs. But I decided to try CPU-Z again, even when I deleted it and had to re-download it, IIRC.
