First, disconnect anything you don't need to actually get into the BIOS, meaning everything but CPU, GPU and RAM, and cooling. But before that, reseat all the connections. If you still cannot pass POST, try it with one RAM stick at a time. If it still fail, come back to us.

I wouldn't try a first boot with 4 sticks of RAM. Try two sticks to begin with, and make sure they are in the proper slots (Likely A2/B2). Still have problems with two sticks, try one as Frick suggests.

68 Olds! Cool.
My Asus ProArt x570 Creator WiFi has onboard a 4-pin & 8-Pin for power cables. I was using only the 8-pin as I have in the past. Does the x570 require both 4-Pin & 8-Pin?

My X570 board doesn’t have both, just the 8 pin. From what I have read the 8 pin is required, but the 4 pin is optional. I would connect both personally if I had that board.

BTW, is the motherboard already mounted in the case? If it is, you probably want to put it on a non-conductive surface outside the case for testing. Giant pita because of the water cooling, I know, but helps with the troubleshooting process. It wouldn't be the first time someone found an extra stand-off grounding the back of the board.

Benchmark Scores (My Windows daily driver is a Beelink Mini S12 Pro. I'm not interested in benchmarking.)
For a new build for me, it is

  • motherboard
  • CPU + any cooler (fan plugged into CPU_FAN header)
  • 1 or 2 sticks of RAM
  • SSD for new operating system installation
  • power supply (a known good unit)
  • graphics card + monitor via HDMI cable (known good ones)
  • USB mouse (a known good one)
  • USB keyboard (a known good one)
  • Ethernet cable for network (a known good one)
  • POST beep speaker

I put this together on a table (not inside a case) for the OS installation and initial boot. This is also a good time to plug in ordinary case fans to make sure that all other fan headers are operational.

Did you buy 4x32 GB or two sets of 2x32 GB?
I tried them both with no change same issue.

I have all the above. My WIFI is Not ethernet. What slot did you use for 1 stick memory? I tied A2 & B2 with the same problem.
Bob

On some Asus X570 boards the board will not boot if there is no fan plugged in the CPU header. The CPU Opt header does not count.
I do have my CPU fan plugged into the CPU header. But thanks.
Bob

Maybe I should mention I bought the board from Japan. I called Asus, and they told me that it was not a problem. So I when ahead and bought the board. So far, the only issue I had before installing was the manual was in Mandarin.

Problem solved. Bob lives about 35 miles from me. I drove over tonight and got his new rig running. His PSU was dead, installed a new Seasonic Focus GX-850 I had and it fired right up.
