I could Careless for Patches cause Android is based off L...I...N...U...X! Taking Forever to update our phones to the Latest Android! Pisses me Off...

Talk...Wine...and get Over it....

I don't think anyone has a clue of what you're talking about. I assume OS updates for Android devices? I haven't had one in a week or two if that's what you're getting at.

I have a LG G4 and still haven't got the Android 7 Update and now there testing OS "O"! Hopefully by then with "O" or "N" we'll start getting updates Faster

I don't think the OP has a clue what hes talking about ....

My bet is that the g4 is so old that LG has taken it out of their update cycle. If you want a beta of "O" or a release build of android 7 (which btw is android n) look around and see if someone has put out a rom for it. I don't know about the G4 but I know the Galaxy S3 from samsung still gets updates from modders because it is quite popular. If you want the new builds either find something cheap off of a chinese site like banggood (its legit i swear) If not, stop complaining and pony up big bucks for a new flagship from your local planned obsolescence center. oops, I meant your local carrier store.

Dude whatever! I clearly DO! As I said, Hopefully by Android Oreo is when this New Update System takes place...

I'm with Verizon so yeah Updates DO take forever LoL :slap::banghead:

Yeah... I kept checking but nothing man. Verizon keeps their phones Boot-loaders Locked! Switching companies soon anyways so

Unfortunately phones are planned to go out like this, so your out of luck, I have a turbo 2 on verizon because they are the only people with a half reasonable excuse for service around here. There shouldn't be any functional reason android 6 wouldn't work, so see if there is at least a root for it to speed the damn thing up.

Nobody has made Luck Root only works for 5.1 only as far as 6 forget it

That is a very dangerous assumption. Linux isn't safe from everything, and some branches are worse than others. If anything, Android has been on average behind the security update curve on many devices, feel free to check the news. Here's a recent one to get you started. Whether you like it or not, security patch deployment should be happening. Period.

The biggest issue has been how the updates have been released, with carriers and manufacturers having more control over this process than the OS developer has led to major problems and security deficiencies, add to that special flavors of Android developed specifically for phones/hardware but lacking consistent security patching...makes the situation even worse. At that point, going with a custom developed ROM might make more sense for sure if one is available let alone stable.
