First off this computer is going to be for gaming. I've read around forums and people suggest the p35 chipset. I got some that I like already and here is the list. The problem is I don't know which one to get. I want a motherboard that is easy to overclock my E6750 with because I haven't OCed a cpu yet. I also have a 22" Samsung LCD SyncMaster so would I need SLI to play games really smooth since the resolution is high? I need some help please.

Some mobo's on that list are around $140+ and I need to know if those are really worth it compared to the ones that are 90-$120 only. If not I might as well go with the cheaper one.
Thank You

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R

That mobo is a little over $140 so it might be a possibility, anyways..

I did some researching and according to the review the

is a overall good mobo for a budget gaming board. This is probably what I might get unless some of you guys can prove how this mobo is bad somehow? Here is where I read the information at. http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3169&p=11&cp=4#comments

My other question is... Will this motherboard be able to work with Penryn in the future? The review says that it will be able too once they release a bio's update. To update the bios don't I need a floppy drive?

No you don't need a floppy drive. But if you have one it is strongly reccomended you use that method. Windows flashing is pretty risky.

you can also flash a lot with the flash drive cant you hat?

I don't know about flash drives. I have a floppy drive and it's a safe method, so I studied that one.

DFI blood iron if you know your way around a bios very well. otherwise all gigabyte p35 boards are good, just make sure you get the rev 2.

Rev.2 isnt that good, one feature that is rather useless that is missing is firewire. Just a side note. I'd purchase the GA P35 DS4 if I were you.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I love my Giga DS3R and my Blood Iron. Giga for it's stability, the Blood Iron for an awesome bios.

I prefer the blood iron for One thing, the fan control is awesome with the adjustable PWM, from 0 to 127, unlike most other boards that exclude this feature, saves me a lot of money; i dont have to buy fan controllers/resistors.

AHHHHHH!! So many choices =/ Right now I am debatting with the Gigabyte ds3r, ds3l, GA-P35C-DS3R , blood iron or the MSI P35 Neo2-FR.

Whats the difference with rev 1 and 2? How will I know which motherboard rev it is by looking online?

I say the DFI or the GB P35-DS3.

EDIT But GA-N650SLI-DS4L, is pretty nice too.
