Hardware specs for the new console have been revealed just last week (PS5, Xbox X)

What's your favorite? Think not only of the hardware but also of the games and the rest of the ecosystem.
 
Probably Xbox X because I like the game selection better on Xbox, otherwise the choice would probably be rough given how similar the console specs are.
 
If I had to pick, PS5, but obviously PC is the better option over both.

I own a PC and a PS4 slim. If I had to chose between the XSX and PS5 I'd go for PS5. I can play anything released on Xbox on my PC, while there are still some exclusives that can be only played on a PlayStation.

That being said I don't think that it will be a Year 1 purchase for me, I'd rather invest in a new GPU now than buy a console.
 
Xbox, just because of the controller. After getting a X360 controller for PC, there's no turning back from asymmetrical analog sticks.

For me, a good gamepad is the first thing on my priority list when talking about consoles.

Or an used Xbone (S/X) or PS4 (Pro), my most modern console is PS3 and soon is a great time to get an used console. They're cheap and they have hella lot of games.
 
We need "neither" as an option. I'll wait until emulators are available and then I'll buy the one that's easiest to load homebrew on.
 
The XBox because it is more powerful but the Playstation has some boss exclusives that could be coming to a PC near you soon.

I specifically excluded "neither" and everything PC related, so people vote for one or the other.
We'll have a "what would you do with $500" poll later, once the "buy toilet paper" option won't be picked by everyone.
 
I'm going with more than likely the PS5 because even though the XSX is more powerful, I care more about the games. I had an Xbox One, Playstation 4(and have the Pro now) and I ended up selling the Xbox because most of the games were on PC anyway besides some specific exclusives. The PS4 on the other hand had more variety and I mainly play JRPG's and other niche titles that you normally don't see on the Xbox when I play on console.

PS5 but i do want bless unleashed ported to ps ecosystem
 
If I absolutely had to choose between the two, I'd probably go for the PS5, since any exclusives for the Xbox will most likely be released on PC too.

Here I am waiting for the existing PS4 emulators and compatibility layers to become usable to I can play Dreams on my PC...
 
PC master race for me too.

By the way, for all PC fans that constantly listen to the "there no cheaters on consoles" claim.

There are "input adapters" for both consoles that let people use mouse+keyboard on multiplayer games. :laugh:

Cheaters are everywhere. Even on Android. 8 Ball Pool has extended guidelines edition.
 
i cant believe in a PC forum we have more playstation fanboys than Microsoft. What a shame guys what a shame.

If i were to buy one it'd probably be PS5. Unless I buy in a spur of the moment kinda way I doubt it's worth buying immediately, what with next to 0 worthwhile software the first year or two even at times based on past knowledge. Ps4's library is what mostly made me jump back into consoles for the first time since the 90s.
 
Definitely PS5 for me. All the greatest PS4 exclusives will be enhanced, and I pretty much missed all of them. Also PSVR2 might be a thing and I doubt Valve will miss the opportunity to release HL Alyx for every possible platform.
But as Chomiq said, not a day 1 purchase. I'd also rather invest in PC parts.

I hear you. I am there too :) Neither, of course!

For many reasons - main is that you can upgrade a PC however you like.
 
Depends on the exclusives. Given each maker is making things very non exclusive, there is literally no point to get either.

I find your assumption that everyone uses Windows to be quite disturbing. One of the reasons I got an Xbox One X was because I don't run Windows on my tower, but there are games I would like to be able to play.
 
Neither, rather run a OG XB, DC. Sticking with PC.
