I've got the opportunity courtesy of a certain member (;)) to get 4GB of Buffalo Firestix from the states...which I am very, very seriously entertaining.

however, a curious thought crept into my mind today; which are actually preferable - Firestix or Axeram? I have found one UK site as a comparison that will sell both, but 4GB of AxeRam is the price of 2GB of Firestix... I'm never one to judge by pricing alone, so I'm hella curious :)
anyone got anything to say on the matter?

the ones I'm referencing UKside are both 1066 kits, as are the ones I'd be able to get from the US I believe.

Well, the Firestix may be able to clock a little better, but at twice the price, I'd just go with the axeram, personally.

And who is your connection in the US? Paulieg?

I'm just curious tbh, I've heard lots of good things about both brands and I wanted some personal opinions.

Well, I have the 1200Mhz aXeram, and I've hit 1400Mhz on them.

tbh I don't know what set of firestix he would be buying, but as I asked initially about his I take it they may well be the same..though obviously oc potentia is random, etc etc.
