Oh man this is a very misguided post. Anyway let me punch a few holes in your theory. First off IW didn't create their game engine. iD software did when they made Quake 3. Yup its a highly modified Tech 3 engine (Quake 3) which they have been using for YEARS. Since Call of Duty 1 I believe. Want proof? Read the fine print on the back of your MW box and tell me who's listed as a license. iD software.
So IW made a game. Not an engine. Let that be clear.

Now you wanna trash Treyarch? Why because they are not your beloved IW? Well let me tell you a little secret. Treyarch are the guys from Gray Matter. You know the creators of Call of Duty: United Offensive? Ever play it? It had tanks, jeeps, a higher player count (32 I think) that IW in all their wisdom REMOVED in MW. The only thing IW kept was the RANKING SYSTEM that Gray Matter created. After that IW ripped off DICEs weapon perks system and MW was born. MWs multiplayer is a bastard child of Carmack and Gray Matter.

So please get your facts straight before you rant.
IMO IW makes a great single player game. Awesome in fact. The multi however is pretty standard.
Treyarch is best at multiplayer with a shallow single tacked on. Its a shame IW never let those guys help them with the multi. We would have had CoD:UO2!
