i recently upgraded to a 6 core cpu. and whenever i install a program and then try to install another, i get a message saying something like...basically i have to let the 1st program finish installing then i can go forth with a 2nd program. wtf...its 2011 and we invented multi-threadign and multi-core processing? any way to bypass this or whatnot?

As changes are getting made to your computer most programs wont install/uninstall while another program is installing/uninstalling.

Installing two things at once is a bad idea, The registry changes from more than one application installing can cause a conflict and either (or both) installations wont work, and that's best case if something goes wrong.

Thats why computer says no.

Most likely be rare but would still happen.

That has nothing to do with multi core or multi threading. It's just to do with the rules Microsoft put in place in regards to installing software on their OS.

If you don't like it, dont use Windows lol.

because hard drives still dont like being used for multiple things at the same time, and imagine if you ran out of HDD or temp space while installing and both failed?

some installer get stop when it detects another instalation that run at the same time.
