It's got to be a screw up. The game itself is only 50 GB.

Irritating as hell for anyone with a download cap. Not cool for them at all.

Sorry, but that's just retarded. If base game is 40GB and you apply 250GB "patch" to it, I'd question their mental health...

It seems everyone just became so lazy they don't even bother. Delta patching, what's that? They just coompile the stuff and push it out with zero regard how big it is. And one game being 250GB in size, I wouldn't tolerate that even if it was the best game ever to existed to date.

According to the article the guy reporting it is saying he found it was 147.6 GB through of a 248.5 GB download.

I guess that helps to explain it. Still MS must know that some people have download caps and they should have made a separate patch whereby people could just download the patch for GOW 4 and a separate download with all of the extra stuff that some people might not want anyway.

I have the (vanilla) game, click install on windows store and it says its 125gb at the moment, it was about 89gb when i got it in november

I thought a game patch was supposed to patch issues of a game.

But it seems, for Microsoft, a patch means throw other games on top of others so that a user may forget actual issues of given game.

has anyone here experienced this? from my reading, it seems to be one user who got that 250+ error, but now it seems to be 100+Gb now....(not that its small @ 100+Gb though)
