i have a 3870X2 and am having some trouble with some screen savers. yes i know the video card is for games!!
i just bought the card a few weeks back and noticed that my favorite screen saver (3d pipes) will run but the image is all broken up and weird looking. i just bought a new hard drive and installed windows vista on it. i checked to see if the screen saver worked with the default vista driver and it did. i then installed the latest catalyst 8.8 and the problem come back. what is causing this? i am running vista ultimate 64 bit with the 64 bit vista driver. it has done this for 8.7 and 8.8 catalyst. otherwise the video card works fine in games, it is just some screen savers. the vista screen savers work fine i should mention too. any help or tips would be appreciated. thank you
